Term “peeling” contains several meaning. First of all it is scrub, purification, removal of the surface layer of skin. There are different kinds of peeling assumed in cosmetic clinic:
Mechanic (dermabrasion), chemical (using acids), physical (using ultrasound and laser technology).
What is chemical peeling?
In this section we will describe chemical peelings. Chemical peeling types: surface ,middle and deep. Each of it has indications and contraindications, and also preparations through which peeling executes with.
Surface peeling
Low concentrations of fruit acids are usually used for surface peeling, such as salicylic, glycolic, lactic and etc and their mixes as well. It is the most sparing type of peeling, and you don’t have to expect rejuvenation effect after it. By the way it’s ineffective while treatment of pathologic changes of skin on body and limbs (scars, hyperpigmentation)
But is gives very good results in case you have acne, oily skin, just noticeable hyperpigmentation, minor age changes
So, chemical peeling procedure is mostly recommended for young age patients. It is almost painless, makes a little burning. Usually skin redness after chemical peeling disappears since couple of hours. After that skin looks fresh, color and skin structure improves well.
Middle peeling
Higher concentrations of fruit acids is usually using for middle peeling and trichloroacetic acid as well. Middle peeling assumes more deep influence on skin structure.
You have to discuss all positive and negative moments related with middle peeling procedure with your cosmetologist.
So, middle peeling is recommended if you have strongly pronounced signs of aging, sphotoageing while acne correction effect as well, if you have hyperpigmentation . It could be applied on face, neck, decollete zone, on hand skin.
It gives a wonderful aesthetic result. But middle peeling requires continuous skin preparation before procedure.
