Yikes!  I have been BOMBARDED with emails about how to really reverse Botox!  I know, the original post is a bit coy.

So, the answer is YES-  you can reverse Botox.   If you have the unfortunate complication of eyelid ptosis, where you eyelid droops because the Botox drifted into your levator aponeurosis, then your doctor needs to prescribe an alpha-adrenergic agonist, which stimulate the muscle to contract.  Typically, these are given as eyedrops.  The side effect is that you may become much more light sensitive as you use the eyedrops.    The generic names are “apraclonidine” and “pheylephrine”, and they have various brand names throughout the world.

Yes, at least in the US, you need to get a doctor’s prescription to get these medications.  You should NOT read this post and just assume that you know what you’re doing-  you should consult with a doctor regarding this, and anything else.  You should follow the doctor’s directions until they eyelid ptosis/ eyelid droop dissipates.  Typically, it takes a couple of days, but every human will vary a little.

Again, and I’m being a little pompous here-  any doctor doing a procedure should know how to do the procedure as well as how to treat potential complications of the procedure.  If your Botox/ Dysport injector doesn’t know this secret on how to reverse Botox, or the dosage, or the directions of how many eyedrops to give, or how frequently, or what to look for, etc., then I would gently suggest you find someone who knows.
