Butt Implants, or more medically, Buttock Implants, are used when a patient desires a more shapely rear end, or wants a bigger behind. They come in several different shapes and sizes. The procedure is typically and out-patient procedure, requiring 1-2 weeks of recovery before you go back to work or school.
My problem with buttock implants is that they are relatively hard. The actual implant itself is pretty hard material, only slightly more pliable than wood. Although it may look good, the feel is not natural. Personally, I enjoy doing fat harvesting through lipousction, processing the fat, and then grafting it into the buttock areas. You still get an enhancement, but not the hardness.
A problem with many patients is that they may not have that much excess fat to actually liposuction. Obviously, you need some fat for me to liposuction, process, and re-inject or graft into you. If you’re thin, or don’t have much fat to suction out of your body, then fat grafting may not be for you.
