As you’re probably aware, Botox/ Dysport is a temporary muscle relaxant. It’s shipped as a dry powder, and the doctor has to mix it with a liquid in the office, then inject it. WHEN IT WAS MIXED is critical to it’s effectiveness! If the mixed Botox/ Dysport is greater than 1 week old, it will work. However, it will NOT last as long!
So, if you have received an injection of Botox/ Dysport that didn’t seem to last longer than 3 months, there is a chance that you may not have received the freshest Botox/ Dysport possible. This is a difficult question to ask a doctor, so you may want to ask discreetly and politely, or go to an establishment that has a constant stream of Botox/ Dysport patients.
