Cheap Plastic Surgery 1 – Let Someone in Training Operate on You

Young Girl and Guinea Pig

I am an exception to the rule.  I believe I am the only Plastic Surgeon in the history of the world who jumped out of the womb fully board-certified.  I just had to wait until I was an adult and looked the part before I could start operating on people.

For the rest of my colleagues, they had to go to college, medical school, general surgery residency, and plastic surgery fellowship, and then take the written and oral boards, before becoming Plastic Surgeons.  While they were in Plastic Surgery Fellowship, they probably had the opportunity to learn on actual patients who wanted a lower price for plastic surgery.

Generally, Plastic Surgeons in training are highly supervised and only operate at the University Hospital.  Their boss i.e. the Attending Surgeon will make sure that things are done correctly.  Alot of Plastic Surgeons in training have already completely General Surgery training, so they are already qualified to fix your hernia or take out your entire colon.

The disadvantages would probably be that your result may not be quite what you want, or your operation will take longer than if the Plastic Surgeon was experienced.  As long as you feel comfortable doing this, I feel this is a viable option for some patients.
